Gifford Fitness Holds 4th Annual 24 Hours of Heroes Event
It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since we last highlighted Gifford Fitness for its 24 Hours of Heroes fundraising event! For a refresher, Gifford Fitness of New Brighton began holding a 24-hour community fitness event to raise support and awareness for Alexandra House in 2021. Since then, we have seen this event grow immensely and have been touched by the hard work Gifford Fitness has put into growing the event and its impact every year since its inception.
Last year, we shared a blog post about the incredible strides Gifford Fitness has made through this event. They went from raising $1,000 for Alexandra House in year one to exceeding their goal of $20,000 in year three! When planning for the fourth year of the event, Gifford Fitness came to Alexandra House to share that they were looking forward to achieving their most ambitious goal yet…$50,000!
Gifford’s enthusiasm and earnestness to support Alexandra House and find ways to increase its impact continue to shock and impress us. Gifford Fitness took on the daunting task of raising their event goal by $30,000 and didn’t let the challenge intimidate them but fueled them. It takes a lot of work to organize a fundraiser, plan the workouts, coordinate with sponsors and fitness teams, and provide food, all on top of Gifford’s regular day-to-day operations. Yet, that’s precisely what they did!
Gifford Fitness raised 76% of its $50,000 goal, or $38,467, in its fourth year of holding this fundraising event. Although it might not have hit its $50,000 goal, this year’s 24 Hours of Heroes event was a success! In four years, 24 Hours of Heroes has raised more than $70,000! Plus, their support goes further than financial, as the 24 Hours of Heroes event has connected countless people to Alexandra House’s mission and spread awareness about domestic and sexual violence.
Thank you, Gifford Fitness, for all of the work you’ve put into this event and for your continued support. Your partnership ensures Alexandra House can continue to meet the ever-evolving needs of our community and program participants.
